ANIMAL Motion Control System for Animation

ANIMAL system installed for Korty Films' animation stand.

Features Compumotor real-time motion control system, custom joystick positioning interface, and ANIMAL animation program. Users would visually set-up shots using video monitor for composition and joystick for positioning artwork table and lens zoom. Key-frame coordinates are logged from trigger button also on joystick accesory. Computer interpolates inbetween coordinates for selected time interval or frame count, and motion control system plays back interpolated moves in real-time.

Used with Fries Reflex Mitchell 35mm camera at Interformat, then re-adapted to Sony 3-chip video camera at Pacific Video.
